The Town of Plover Plan Commission has finished the review and update of the Town of Plover 2005 Comprehensive Plan in order to meet the statutory requirement that comprehensive plans be updated no less than once every ten years (Wisconsin Statutes Section 66.1001(2)(i)). The Plan Commission also reviewed and updated the Town Zoning Map to ensure compatibility between zoning and future land use designations. Below is a link to the proposed updates.
The Town of Plover Plan Commission adopted Resolution 20201228 on December 28, 2020, to recommend the proposed update of the Town of Plover 2005 Comprehensive Plan and Town of Plover Zoning Map to the Town of Plover Town Board. The Town of Plover Town Board held a public hearing on the proposed update on February 11, 2021, at 6:00 PM, at the Plover Town Hall. At a town board meeting immediately following the public hearing, the Town of Plover Town Board adopted Ordinance 20210211 regarding amendments to the Town of Plover 2005 Comprehensive Plan including proposed zoning changes.
On March 2, 2021, at 5:00 PM, in Conference Rooms 1 & 2 of the County Annex at 1462 Strongs Avenue in Stevens Point, the Portage County Planning and Zoning Committee will hold a public hearing at which time and place all interested persons may appear and will be given an opportunity to be heard in support of or in opposition to REQ-2021-005, a request by the Town of Plover to amend the Town of Plover Comprehensive Plan which is incorporated into the Portage County Comprehensive Plan through Section 8.8 of said document, and to amend the Portage County Zoning Map for various properties in the Town of Plover.
